PUERTO MADERO
Inspired by the Liverpool port, Eduardo Madero created this project in 1887. Renovated in the early 90´s this area is now qualified as one of the most exquisite and expensive areas of the city, visited by locals and tourist as well. Its old docks are now home to fancy restaurants, bars, discos, shops, movie theaters, offices, hotels and loft apartments with great views of both the city and the river.

This ship was built specially for Argentina in the UK, being set off on August 31st, 1897. It served as School Boat between 1899 and 1939, with instruction trips around the world. In December 1961, it became Museum Boat of the Argentinean Navy, and the following year it was declared National Historical Monument. It still keeps its original furniture and valuable photo testimonies of its history as international ambassador of Argentina.

Corbeta Uruguay

This canyon ship was set off on February 1874 and is one of the oldest Argentinean war ships still sailing. It performed several hydrographical campaigns and served as school boat of the Argentinean Navy.The Corbeta Uruguay has entered Argentinean and world history, for having rescued in 1903 the cast aways of the Swedish scientific expedition, commanded by Otto Nordenskjöld. Made in Great Britain in the Laird Brothers Shipyards, it still keeps most of the original furniture. In 1967 it was declared National Historical Monument. Opening Hours: Everyday from 10.00 to 21.00

The Argentinean Catholic University has inaugurated this Pavillion, which has more than 400 meters devoted to display the work of Argentinean artists.

It is the green spot of Buenos Aires, with its 360 acres of unique flora and fauna, which was recovered from river lands and artificially filled with earth and sand. The area was declared National Park and can be discovered by foot or bike. The best part is that it is only a few minutes away from the business center and it provides great views of the city.
